Abstract

This abstract discusses community service efforts undertaken to optimize the use of social media as a learning tool. This activity was carried out with the aim of providing in-depth understanding and practical skills for teachers, students and parents in utilizing social media positively, safely and effectively in supporting the learning process. In today's digital era, social media is not only a communication tool, but can also function as a flexible and interactive learning resource. However, many people still do not understand how to use social media optimally and safely in an educational context. This program involves training and direct assistance which is carried out in several stages, including the delivery of basic material regarding various popular social media platforms, techniques for designing educational content, strategies for maintaining security when using social media, as well as best practices for using social media as a reference source. and interactive discussion facilities. The results of this service program show that participants are able to improve their skills in using social media as a learning tool, increase student motivation in learning, and develop digital literacy skills. This activity also encourages the active role of parents and teachers in monitoring and directing the use of social media for purposes that are beneficial for the learning development of students and students. The results of this activity showed a significant increase in participants' understanding regarding the benefits and risks of social media, as well as the application of more productive ways of using it in learning activities. Apart from that, it is hoped that this activity can be the first step in forming an adaptive and innovative learning ecosystem through collaboration between teachers, students and parents, so that social media can be optimized as a learning resource that supports successful learning
